Chart fair goers have a golden day

anne_chartEIGHT year old Meridith-Mae McGill, a pupil at Oxted’s St Mary’s School, was given the honour of presenting Paralympic and World champion Anne Dickins MBE with a bouquet when the latter officially opened the Limpsfield Chart fair.

Anne, who lives in Oxted, was Paracanoe’s third gold medallist at Rio 2016, winning the single kayak 200m in the KL3 classification and will also be remembered for creating another piece of history, notching up ParalympicsGB’s 100th medal of the Games.

The fair was organised by the Limpsfield Chart community and the local St Andrews Church and featured a dog show, a human fruit machine, unrideable horse, sweet tombola, table tennis, splat the rat, raffle, tug of war, bric-a-brac, beer tent, teas, strawberries and cream, music, plants, books, toys plus much more.
