Lorrance muscles in on charity truck pull

ALL systems go is the message from 6ft tall, 20 stone, Lorrance Faulkner from Hurst Green as he prepares for a big challenge on Sunday, August 19- when he will be one of the muscle men taking part in a charity truck pull.

Lorrance will be flexing those powerful biceps to pull a 7.5 and a 20 tonne monster truck along the runway at Dunsfold Aerodrome.
The main event will be when two trucks – combined weight of 40 tonnes – are pulled side by side.

Money raised for the event is for the Lucy Rayner Foundation – Lucy was a 22 year old old who took her own life on May 5 2012, aged 22 years.

The objectives of the charity include:
Raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of depression in young adults through education and campaigning.
To work alongside other charitable organisations who have the same objectives as the Lucy Rayner Foundation
To facilitate change in the way mental health is being perceived by society
To provide emotional support for young adults with mental health problems and their families
To build emotion resilience and stamina in young adults to enable them to thrive in society
