Care home residents get to meet Delilah the PatMePony

DELILAH the PatMePony from the Viewpoint Centre stables in Dormansland paid a return visit to the Orchard Court care home in Lingfield to meet the residents.
With her was Viewpoint’s Kate Dockery – Viewpoint Centre is a registered charity that has been fully endorsed to run courses in Surrey developed by TheHorseCourse. TheHorseCourse is a registered charity founded to reduce social exclusion through horse-assisted interventions.
Katie is an Approved TheHorseCourse Facilitator. She ensures that the horses used are trained to a suitable level, manages fundraising, the referral and reporting process as well as instructing the courses themselves.
The ReStart Course teaches, rehearses and repeats key resilience skills in an intensive and challenging, but in a fun way with feedback in-the-moment from specially trained horses. Participants are unmounted handlers, learning to work in partnership with the horses on the ground.

Orchard Court is hosting a garden party on Saturday August 11 2.30-4.30pm, a community event, open to all with music and tea with scones.
