Antiques expert Chrissie Masters of Westerham’s Design Gallery will be giving advice on various curios brought to her by local people when she takes part in A Summertime Celebration on Westerham Green on August 25.
The theme of the day will pay tribute to 100 years of women’s emancipation through costume, performance and representation of women in business today.
Alongside the usual summer entertainment of a family fairground and live music – amongst others, from the ever popular ‘Hobo and the Hippies’ – there will be a good array of stalls selling retro and today’s fashion accessories, art and bric-a-brac, and a large themed ‘foodie’ marquee where unique stand-up performances will be staged from Westerham characters past and present.
Chrissie’s ‘Collectors’ Corner’ is from 1- 2pm so raid the attic and see what you could bring along!
For the ultimate in personal entertainment, book a psychic reading by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org where £5 will give you five minutes in Psychic Sadie’s magic gazebo – an occasion not to be missed!
There will be an interesting display from Westerham’s Women’s Institute which was started in November 1918.
