WITH the Tandridge District Council draft Local Plan out for comments on its legal compliance and soundness – the consultation ends on September 10 – the Tandridge Lane Action Group (TLAG) is hosting another public meeting.
This will be held at Village Hall in Tandridge Village on September 1 at 10.30am.
David Hughes of TLAG said: “This stage represents the last opportunity to comment on the plan before it is submitted to Government and will then be considered by an Inspector at a Local Plan Inquiry sometime next year. It is therefore critical that people take time to respond if they are opposed to the plan.
“The council is obliged to share all such representations with the Inspector, which is the good news, but any comments you have made previously will not be taken into account. Any comments made on the plan must be done in a particular way and address whether it is a) sound or b) legally compliant.
“ We at the TLAG are working very hard on the preparation of a robust, detailed submission, which will be supported by various expert reports. But it is important that individuals write in as well and that this is done in the right format. We are working on a crib sheet that people can use to help write their submissions.
“We will be printing and delivering a leaflet advertising the September 1 event and if we can have some volunteers to help deliver this it would be greatly appreciated. We are normally well resourced for Tandridge Lane and the whole of Tandridge Parish in fact, but less well in Godstone, South Godstone or Blindley Heath. Can anyone offer to help with this please?”
