Edenbridge residents get to view Local Plan proposals for the town

THE shopping lists were momentarily forgotten when Sevenoaks District Council held a drop-in consultation on its Draft Local Plan outside the Waitrose supermarket in Edenbridge.

Residents of the town and district has the opportunity to quiz Council officials about the plan which says what can be built and where up to 2035.

The Distric’s Draft Local Plan includes proposals for new housing and employment land and improvements to retail and infrastructure. Once finalised, the new Local Plan will be used to assess planning applications in the Sevenoaks District.

Comments on the Draft Local Plan can be taken until Monday, September 10.

The drop in consultation session at Waitrose gave local people an idea of how Edenbridge will be impacted.

There ’s another drop-in session at the Sevenoaks District Council offices in Sevenoaks on Wednesday, September 5, 2-8pm.

Westerham Parish Council is holding a drop-in session on the Sevenoaks Draft local Plan at the Westerham Sports Association pavilion at the town’s King George’s Playing Field on August 22 5-8pm.
