SURREY Police is appealing for help to trace a silver Citroen and the two people in it following a suspicious incident in Hurst Green.
The incident happened in Pollards Oak Road on Wednesday, 8 August at 7pm when a silver Citroen with a man and woman inside approached a 10-year-old boy.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Andy Robinson said: “We understand that an appeal such as this can cause concern in the community however I would like to stress that at this stage it is not known what the motives were of the people in the car. No physical contact was made with the child who was able to safely leave the area after becoming concerned by the two people in the car.
“It is important for us to either hear from those two people directly as this may be a misunderstanding or there may be a simple explanation about what happened. We have had no other reports of a similar nature in the area since this report was made.
“We are urging anyone who did see or hear anything of the incident, who noticed the silver Citroen or who has relevant dash-cam or CCTV images to get in touch with us as soon as possible.
“We are particularly interested to hear from those who were driving in the following roads that evening: Greenhurst Lanel, Pollards Oak Road and Hurstlands.”
The man who sat in the passenger’s seat is described as:
• Early 50s
• Has a tattoo from t-shirt line down to below his elbow (sleeve style)
• Was wearing blue jeans.
The woman who sat in the driver’s seat is described as:
• Big build
• blonde shoulder-length hair
• Early 50s
