WITH the latest consultation on the proposed Tandridge District Council Local Plan closing on September 10, Caterham Hill Parish Council is holding a special meeting to discuss the impact of the plan on the Hill – the get together is at Caterham Hill Library on August 29 (7.30pm).
Councillor Jeremy Webster, chairman of the Hill Parish Council said: “The Parish Council is disappointed to note that despite our hopes that the Local Plan would mean a fairer distribution of development across the District, yet again Caterham on the Hill is to have even more development, including on a Green Belt site in a Conservation Area, namely the site at Victor Beamish Avenue.
“No affordable housing is slated for Oxted, and the infrastructure promised in the plan for Caterham Hill is inadequate, and again fails to address flood risk, health appointments and school places.
“We are therefore very disappointed and urge concerned residents to respond to the consultation.”
