Lingfield Community Library is hosting an open day on Saturday, September 15 (10am-4pm). Activities for children and maps, photos and items from the Hayward History Collection will be displayed.

There is a dog show being organised by Pet Lovers In Tandridge at this Saturday’s Hurst Green Fair (1pm). Lots of raffles prizes, eight classes. All donations going to Ace. Donations for the raffles from Morrisons Oxted, The Carpenter’s Arms, Everyman Cinema, Select Convenience, Hurst Green and new dog groomers on Godstone KP Pretty Paws.

Tandridge Handicraft Society meets every Monday at the Woodhouse Centre, Hoskins Road car park, opposite Tandridge Leisure Centre, Oxted and on September 17 the Society is hosting a talk with examples entitled “Warm Glass – an Artist’s Journey in Casting” given by Joanna Lloyd. The Eden Valley Museum in Edenbridge is hosting a hop picking exhibition in 2019 and would like to hear from any readers who have memories to share about travelling down to Kent to pick hops in any of the villages of the Eden Valley including Edenbridge, Chiddingstone, Cowden, Crock ham Hill, Toys Hill, Four Elms and Penshurst.

The Panda Nursery officially launches its new premises on Glebe Meadow, on Saturday, September 15, and is inviting parents, kids, and village residents to help celebrate the move and view the new home of this hugely popular Limpsfield pre-school and child care facility . Panda, rated Outstanding by Ofsted, has now been part of the community for 58 years, supporting Oxted and Limpsfield families.
Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (SASH) is holding its annual general meeting on Thursday, September 27 .
The event will provide an opportunity for members of the public to find out more about SASH’s achievements over the last year and its plans for the future. There will also be a look back at 70 years of the NHS, the changes and medical advances that have seen over the years.
The meeting will take place at the Postgraduate Education Centre (PGEC) at East Surrey Hospital from 6 – 8pm. Refreshments will be served from 5.30pm. Free parking is available in the staff car park behind the PGEC.

Tandridge District Council is warning residents they could lose their voice on matters which affect them if they don’t check their annual canvass form as soon as possible.
With local elections taking place in May 2019, the canvass form is how residents can make sure they’re able to vote next year. Everyone should have received one in the post and it is important they are checked and updated online, or returned by post.
The returned forms are used to make sure the electoral register is up to date and encourage any residents who are not on the register to sign up so they can vote in local elections.
Lingfield Art Exhibition takes place at the Lingfield and Dormansland Community Centre on October 22-28, Monday-Saturday 10am-6pm; Sunday 10am-4pm.
The College of St Barnabas in Blckberry Lane on the outskirts of Lingfield is hosting its autumn fair on Saturday, November 17 (10am-noon). Stalls and coffee served. Entry £1.

Bridget West will be delivering an organ recital All Saints Church, Warlingham, on Sunday, September 16 (6pm). Donations to Christian Aid welcome.

Trevor Morse from the Surrey Fire and Rescue Volunteer Service will be giving attack on fire safety at home at All Saints Church, Warlingham, on October 4 at 2.30pm. The talk is free.

Warlingham Walks is hosting its annual walk event on Sunday, September 30- meet on the Green before 2pm. Short, medium and longer walk options available.

East Surrey Advanced Motorists will be running the popular Better Driving Theory course in Bletchingley Village Hall on October 3, 10, 17, 24, at 8pm – free of charge. The course is designed to benefit all road users. Ring 01737 821331.

Local group Back To Eden will be playing a mix of country and country rock at Tatsfield Village Hall on Saturday, October 13 (8pm) with proceeds to the village hall kitchen refurbishment. Tickets 01959 577357.
