Apprentice jockey Rhys makes his Lingfield Park debut

Apprentice jockey Rhys Clutterbuck was at his local race track, Lingfield Park, for his eighth outing.

Teenager Rhys, a former pupil at Oxted School and now with legendary trainer Gary Moore at the latter’s stables in Sussex, was aboard Mr Fickle in the Starsports.Bet handicap stakes over one mile seven furlongs. There were 14 runners.

And also in the race was Gary Moore’s son, Ryan, former champion jockey.

Although there was no first win for Rhys, who lives near Edenbridge, there was plenty of experience to add to his career.
