Former Crystal Palace and Fulham central defender Gavin Nebbeling will officially open the BBC Children In Need event in Hurst Green on October 20.
South African born Gavin who played for Palace from 1981-89 an scored eight goals, will be at St Agatha’s Hall at noon and will conduct a silent auction. Gavin has donated a day with him and another former celebrity footballer to play golf at a local club .
The event will also feature a raffle, outdoor and indoor stalls, live music, and Oxted Surrey County Councillor Cameron Macintosh has reportedly promised to show his dance moves .
Tandridge District Council vice chairman Councillor Lindsey Dunbar of Limpsfield will also attend.
