The countdown has begun for Priory Farm’s popular Christmas Food Festival on Saturday and Sunday, November 24 and 25.
The farm at South Nutfield will be hosting a weekend feast of mouth-watering seasonal food and drink which is expected to draw thousands of families from across Surrey and beyond.
Around 40 suppliers of artisan and locally-produced fine food and drink will be offering seasonal tastings and the chance to buy delicious gourmet goodies for the festive table – or perfect as gifts for a food lover’s Christmas stocking.
Tasty seasonal hot food will be on offer for those wishing to stay for lunch. And Priory Farm’s own team will be enticing visitors with steaming cups of mulled wine and mince pies.
There will be the chance to order early for Christmas from the farm’s butchery counter. Master butcher Andy MacNeill and his team will be offering tasting of free-range turkeys and gammon, and showcasing its locally-reared meat, handmade sausages and pigs in blankets. The experienced butchery team will also be on hand to offer advice on how to cook the perfect roast for the big day.
As well as a `menu’ of sumptuous seasonal food, Priory Farm’s shop will be fully stocked with innovative gift ideas and Christmas decorations.
Now in its tenth year, the festival has become an important date for food lovers looking for inspiration for Christmas entertaining. If you’re lucky, Santa may even make a surprise visit!
The food festival is free to enter, with free parking too, and runs from 10am to 4pm on the Saturday and 10.30am to 4pm on the Sunday.
