Letter: Thanks for making concert a massive success

I would like to say a big “Thank You” for all the support that was given to make The C.H.E.C.K. c oncert at St Mary’s Church, Caterham Hill, such a massive success.

The Cor Y Gyrlais from the Swansea Valley visited Caterham once again and delighted the audience with their beautiful voices. The Caterham Community Choir, The Whyteleafe Primary School Choir and the delightful harpist, Saskia Roberts added to the magic of the evening with their wonderful contributions.

The CHECK Trustees would like to thank everyone who attended and helped in any way whatsoever. The Sell Out Concert raised £3000 for the local charity “Community Health And Education for the Children of Kimilili”.

In January 2019 a party of 10 volunteers including a local retired GP , a nursing sister from East Surrey Hospital, a sign language and special needs teacher, a retired maths teacher and a teacher Of English as an additional language will visit Kimiliili.

A journalist will also accompany the group and a short film entitled “A Week In The Life of a Volunteer In Kenya” will be made.

Thank you all once again.

Geraint Jenkins MBE, Caterham
