Parents and friends of Westerham’s Churchill CE Primary School enjoyed a fantastic night at the school’s annual fundraiser, the Autumn Ball.
The Ball was held at Park Wood Golf Club Tatsfield and guests braved torrential rain to enjoy a night of fine food and drink, live music, dancing, games and prizes to raise money for the school.
The Ball was supported by many local businesses who offered sponsorship and prizes. Westerham’s own Greenwells Tree Surgery, Wolfe Garage and James Millard kicked things off by sponsoring tables at the event and they were quickly joined by Mark Nelson Veterinary Surgery, Moorenergy Fitness Gym, St James Place Wealth Management and Westerham Dental Care.
Businesses from the surrounding area, TLB Nails and Beauty, Coffee at Kiwi House and Matchpoint Tennis also came forward to sponsor the event. The school even managed to pick up two sponsors from as far a field as Croydon and London, Complete Coffee Ltd and Deminos HR.
A shocked Eric Ogley walked away with the top prize of the evening, A Brewer for a Day Voucher donated by Westerham Brewery.
Thanks to the generous support from these businesses the event raised a total of £1,800 for the school.
New headteacher, Kathy Taylor, was thrilled to be able to spend this money straight away on new curriculum materials.
