Ten students from Year 10 of Oxted School took part in the first round of Rotary Young Chef.

Students had 90 minutes to lay a table and create a starter and main course for two people, with a budget of £13.

Some amazing high skills were shown by the students; from filleting fish to making fresh pasta! The professional chef, Spencer Ottaway (Head Chef at Knights) who was judging the competition couldn’t believe that the students were only 14-15 years old.

The three winners have received £50 vouchers for Thai Pad and a day’s work experience in the kitchen there too.
